Madonna has built herself up to iconic status. Over the years the material girl has transformed herself from a shy, but naughty teen into an over-the-top queen. For her age, she has the body of a goddess and isn’t’ shy to flaunt what she has. While her romantic affairs over the years have been somewhat shady in some cases, she produced an almost mirror image of herself in her daughter Lourdes. While many thought the wildcat had been tamed when she hooked up and wed Guy Ritchie, they would be completely mistaken.

Vancouver Feels The Heat

In 2008, Madonna made her first ever appearance in Vancouver with her Sticky and Sweet Tour. Fans were rearing to go and the sold out 60,000 crowds was revved up. BC Place Stadium was buzzing with anticipation and Madonna didn’t disappoint. Floor seat tickets were sold for a whopping 2700 pounds and yes, they were all occupied. While the show started late, in true Madge fashion, the wait was worth it. The super fit dancing queen strutted her stuff in fine fashion and belted out the tunes in that signature voice everybody loves. The show mixed it up a bit with some old songs forming part of the playlist.

Imagery and Visuals

As is customary where Madonna is concerned, bigger and bolder is always better. No expense was spared on visual displays and imagery throughout the show. When it comes to a Madonna concert, it’s an entire production rather than just her singing. Dress changes were completed by the dozen by the singing star and each outfit grander than the one before it. Back up dancers were tuned to precision and every move was perfectly timed and in unison. There use of huge screens projecting stage images, ensuring that everybody got the full effect of the show. Vancouver is chomping at the bit for Madonna to return in full force and ready to sing.
