The much-anticipated Calgary Stampede takes place in July this year. For those who haven’t heard of it, it doesn’t involve cattle running through the streets. The Calgary Stampede is an epic display of country music. This year will be a little different with lots of country singers or bands in attendance at the Saddledome. The schedule is set for a full country twang experience. The festival has been aptly referred to as the greatest outdoor show on Earth and in fitting fashion, the acts are on a mission to impress. Grab your boots and start stomping.

Acts Of Epic Proportions

Brad Paisley and Luke Bryan, two superstar country acts are the only scheduled acts to take to the stage at the Saddledome this year. The Nashville North Stage is, however, where the non-stop country vibe will be felt. Brace yourselves for the amazing talents of Meghan Patrick, Gord Bamford, The Washboard Union and The Road Hammers. These acts will be spread out over the course of the festival, keeping you entertained throughout. Have the chance to catch Steven Tyler and his Loving Mary Band in full cowboy mode as they croon away at the Cowboy’s Music Festival scheduled for the 11th July.

The Calgary Stampede Presents The Greats

The Coca-Cola stage this year will feature nine-time Grammy winner Sheryl Crow on the 11th July. The newest venue The Big Four Roadhouse will feature the well-known Blue Rodeo as well as a number of equally talented support acts. Calgary’s National Music Centre will reopen King Eddy for the Bell Live Series. Enjoy the sounds of the Goo-Goo Dolls at the RoundUp MusicFest. Nashville’s finest brotherly act will take to the stage at Knoxville’s Stampede Tent on 14th July. Kings of Leon are set to light up the stage and draw in the crowds.
